It can be hard to find the right recipe with beef, getting all that much needed iron, without dropping a huge amount of your daily calories on that meal.
Well let me show you a super tasty way to eat your beef, without even realising it's great for your calories! Combine spinach, feta, herbs and premium beef mince and you have the tastiest meatballs on the planet!
At only 350 calories per serve, with nearly 50% from protein, these meatballs really hit the spot and can be consumed on 'the bulk' or 'the shred' with great results - just combine with your favourite greens.
Ingredients:
Instructions:
Step 1 - Place 1kg of Premium Beef Mince into a large bowl, separating into chunks.
Step 2 - Add in the remaining ingredients into the large bowl.
Step 3 - Using your hands, mix all of the ingredients together thoroughly until a consistent meatball batch has been formed, with the spinach and cheese evenly spread.
Step 4 - Spray a large tray with coconut oil.
Step 5 - Roll a piece of the mix into a large ball and place on the tray.
The balls should be the size of your palm and pressed together firmly.
Step 6 - Place the tray in the pre-heated oven for 25 minutes at 225°C.
Step 7 - When ready, set aside to cool. Add 3 meatballs to each serving - this recipe makes around 21 meatballs depending on their size!
Step 7 - Add 100g of steamed green vegetables to each serving and store in the fridge for several days.
